Gary Houtz Benefit Fund
At the end of May, Gary Houtz, a renowned tatting teacher, was involved in a head-on collision. He survived the accident but his recovery will take quite some time. To help Gary with expenses not covered by insurance, DS9Designs will contribute 10% of all sales during the month of July to the Benefit Fund established for Gary at Southwest Colorado Federal Credit Union, 15 Bodo Dr, Durango, CO 81301.

3 new colors of bobbin rolls and small pillow tidies are available--daffodils, roses with dusty pink lining, and small roses on blue and lavender.
I found a great red hat fabric, so have added a brand new tatting bag page--Red Hats. More fabric is on order.
I was sewing yellows, reds and purples today. 10 new tatting bags are posted on the New page under tatting bags: purple and yellow carnations, daffodils, single daffodils, batik pastels with frogs, red roses, black flowers on bright red background, red paisleys, cranes with red lining, pansies on plum background, and batik grapes.
I was sewing brown colors today. 4 new tatting bags are posted on the New page under tatting bags: dog faces, dogs and puppies, batik woodland animals, and yellow leaves on brown background. I have also added angel 5 to the tatted earrings section. More colors will be available soon. I'm waiting on a seed bead order to arrive.
A new tatted angel pattern is posted on the Patterns for Sale page. Pattern contains written instructions for shuttle AND needle tatters, as well as visual diagrams.

I'm sewing tatting bags. Four new ones (hummingbirds, blue roses, barnyard animals, and tatting shuttles on beige) are posted on the New page. More will be added in the next couple weeks.
Final beads have been posted: citrine (bright yellow) and dark cranberry daggers; darker red, dark cranberry, amethyst, and lavender opal 6mm hearts.

Beads: 6mm hearts are now posted on the website. I have a few more colors ordered (cranberry transparent, dark violet transparent and lavender opal!) and they should arrive in about a week. Will be working on posting pictures of the other new beads that arrived this week!

Brand new items for bobbin lacers! I have this great fabric--spangled bobbins on navy. I've sewn it into pillow tidies and bobbin rolls. In the bead section, I've added milky white 3x10mm Fairy Wing beads to the Fairy Wings page.
A new tatting pattern!!! I posted Dad's Doily in the Patterns for Sale section. This doily took Best of Show in Tatting and Other Laces at the 2003 Colorado State Fair.
I just received a shipment of beads. Red angel wing beads are back in stock. I now have 3 colors of 6mm rounds and 3 new colors of 6x13 teardrops.

I have added quite a few tatting bags on the shuttles/bobbins page. I have some dragon tatting bags on the oriental page. I have some really cute 10x15mm handmade ladybug beads on the Miscellaneous Beads page. New colors of 14mm angel wing beads include crystal luster, light amethyst luster, aqua AB, and ruby matte AB. I have also added 10mm milky white fairy wing beads.
4 new colors of 5x16mm daggers are in: amethyst, dark violet, blue-purple and deep emerald. I have added categories for 4mm firepolished facetted rounds, 6mm pressed glass rounds, 5x7 firepolished facetted teardrops with vertical hole and 6x13 mm pressed glass teardrops with vertical hole. Stock is limited in colors. As I sell more beads, I will stock more colors. I expect to get a lot of colors in early 2004, or as profits allow.

We've updated the whole site! We put all the navigation links on the side of each page, standardizing the format to make it easier for you to navigate. We added a Paypal shopping cart to make it easier to place an order. We have added a Schedule page to show you when and where we are vending this year. We have also added a Handwork for Sale section that will have items such as tatted and crocheted snowflakes, knitted lace, tatted and knitted angels, doilies, etc.
