Pea Pods Tatting Pattern

Updated 10/25/04

CLOSED September 7, 2010 through September 16, 2010.
I will be teaching and vending in Montana. All orders received during these dates will be processed in the order they were received when I get back.

pea pods
When tatted with size 20 thread, each pea pod measure about 1 1/2 inches long and 3/8 inch wide. The entire project measures about 2 1/2 inches from tip of tendril to end of pea pod and 1 3/4 inches from end of stem to pods.

Requires 2 shuttles for the pea pods; shuttle and ball for the tendril, leaves and stem.

Techniques used: Rings and chains for tendril, leaves and stem. Rings off of chains (also called floating rings), slope-and-roll join, and shoe-lace trick to create a sharp point at the tip of the pea pods. There's also a bit of tricky joining to keep the pea pods from flopping around. If you get stuck, email me and I can help you through the joins.

Pattern Price: $2.50
