Gary Houtz Benefit Fund
At the end of May, Gary Houtz, a renowned tatting teacher, was involved in a head-on collision. He survived the accident but his recovery will take quite some time. To help Gary with expenses not covered by insurance, DS9Designs will contribute 10% of all sales during the month of July to the Benefit Fund established for Gary at Southwest Colorado Federal Credit Union, 15 Bodo Dr, Durango, CO 81301.

This ornament drape fits well over a 2 to 2.6 inch diameter ornament. It requires Valdani size 12 pearl cotton, 658 size 11 seed beads (about 6-7 grams of Miyuki seed beads), 56 4mm fire-polished facetted rounds, and 14 5x16mm daggers. The colors used for the model are O521 Mulberry Grape Valdani pearl cotton size 12, about 6 grams size 11 Miyuki Mix01 Passionflower seed beads, 4mm crystal AB full coat fire-polished facetted rounds, crystal AB and tanzanite dagger beads. The ornament in the photo is 2" in diameter. Techniques used: single shuttle or needle tatting. Beads are wound on the shuttle and slid into place after rings are tatted. The last round is beading only and a beading needle is VERY helpful.

Deciphering the description: 6 O521/Passionflower stands for Kit #6, Valdani Pearl Cotton size 12 color O521, Size 11 seed bead mix is Passionflower.

	This model keeps selling out at shows, so I don't have a picture of this one. Thread, heart and dagger beads are the same as Kit 1. Seed Beads are the same as Kit 2a.
